Rule 1 Purpose

The purpose of these Rules, Regulations, and Procedures is as follows:

• To establish a framework of rules under which the Sweepstakes races and Design Competition can be contested.
• To establish minimum safety and performance standards with which buggies must comply to be used in the Sweepstakes race competition.
• To establish safety procedures to be used by Sweepstakes participants both during practice sessions and during the race competitions.
• To document typical operating procedures for Sweepstakes practice sessions, the Sweepstakes race competitions, and the Design Competition.
