It’s been a long summer and we’ve had our fun, but it’s time to return to Pittsburgh and prepare for the craziest sport that we’re all crazy about!

We here at BAA headquarters have been fixing and tweaking the site to get everything ready for the new season and we can only expect that some teams have their new build plans well underway as well. Last year was a blast and we’re only looking to improve for this year. So lets get this show a-rollin’!

A note to any Freshmen:

If you’ve found your way here, you probably either attended the Buggy Orientation event, or already knew about us before you moved in. No matter how you found us, you’re way ahead of the curve, Congrats! We hope you had a fun Orientation and are ready to get involved in CMU’s many clubs and organizations. To help you out, here’s a little about us:

cmubuggy.org is the alumni run, buggy-centric website that will one day satiate your buggy fanaticism. We run weekly updates on what happens at the weekend practices and keep you informed on any buggy related events. This site contains an ENORMOUS catalog of Buggy data and histroy, but more importantly is our growing gallery of pictures from rolls, videos from Raceday, and beyond.

The alumni on this site may be competitive, but most of them are friendly and love to share their stories. Still others are helpful to teams new and old. If you’ve got any questions, make a post on our forum, and it’ll get answered. We’ve helped start new teams and get old teams back on their feet, so if you’ve got an idea, don’t be afraid to ask.

At this point, you have access to all you could ever read about buggy, but that would be missing the point. Get out there, Join an existing team, or Start a new team and have the time of your life!

Welcome back Teams:

We’ve missed you, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what you’ve been cooking up over the summer. We know you’re all busy recruiting already, and if you’re coming here, you probably already know what to expect from us so we’ll keep it brief.

Last year we were able to webcast nearly every day of rolls, and that was a blast, so much fun, that we want to do more for you. The thing is, we don’t know what you guys want most. If there is something that you think could really benefit buggy in terms of rolls or even Raceday, let us know and we’ll do what we can to get it done.

Wake up Alumni:

Raceday ended in a rush last year, we got to experience all the joys of “real” sports with dropped balls and questionable calls. BUT, this is a new season with new kids and new alumni joining our ranks. It’s time to wake up from your summer hibernation and get ready for that sport you wish you could still compete in. Real life be damned, we’re all still kids inside and what better way to show it than to root for and support your favorite team.

If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, we always need more people helping out at rolls and other events, so if you’ve got the time and want to get involved, we can help you. Even if you’re not in pittsburgh, there’s plenty of things that we want to do, but we just don’t have the manpower right now. Don’t sit bored at work, work on something you really love and give back to the only alumni organization that really keeps you informed and up to date, and don’t forget to become a member today!
