Posting here because I have not been able to properly log in to this site in almost 2 years. (prison life has some limits)

Team CSSN Racing is seeking a new driver for the Ultimate Speed Challenge. . Our current team is based on running two cars - one the Pearson-built winner from 2013 (driver, Annie Taylor), and the other the Estes/Delaney-built car that was newly built in 2013 and finished a close second. This car now lacks a driver due to schedule conflicts. Got an need for speed?

The open car is pictured above. It is quite small, so finding both a good driver and a driver who fits is the challenge. The car is housed in North Canton, Ohio. . A visit there to try on the glass slipper will be part of the audition.

The car was built around our former driver's measurements, who just happened to be a buggy driver as well. The ideal driver would need to be no more than 5'2" tall and weigh under 105 lb. In essence a typical buggy driver. Additionally even if meeting these other targets, one would will need slim hips and shoulder to fit. So, 5'0" and 100 lb would be ideal. The car is quite comfortable if the driver fits properly.

The driver would have to comply with the Ultimate rules - at least 16 years old and have driven at the all american race or at least 18 without All american experience. No more than 24 years old by race day in late July 2014. 2013 rules are here:

Ideally we could find an enthusiastic driver with skills. Local to Akron would be an advantage but is not required. Derby experience would be a strong advantage. Availability for occasional fittings, one weekend in June, and of course the week of the AASBD race would be required ( this is typically in late July, Monday through Saturday. The team foots all building costs, entry fees, and the driver keeps the prizes in full if any, but we do expect the driver or family to pick up driver travel expenses if any. Driver's family or chaperon would be welcome to attend any and all events, fittings, etc as they see fit.

Our team has an impeccable record both on the track and off. In 2014 we will be striving for our 5th victory in a row and to set a new track record. We equip our team cars equally to the point of drawing lots for wheel selection, so the new driver will be given an equal chance at victory. .

Please forward this information to any potential candidates. FInd out more at CSSN racing on facebook. If interested, reply there.
