Rule 10.3.11 Medical Personnel

Medical personnel should be available at all times while the Sweepstakes races are underway. Off duty paramedics from the City of Pittsburgh can usually be obtained to provide any necessary medical assistance for each day of racing. Arrangements to have paramedics available during the races should be made by the Sweepstakes Chairman, approximately six weeks before the preliminary races are scheduled to take place, through the office of the Sweepstakes Advisor.

If an active Emergency Medical Service exists on the Carnegie Mellon University campus, members of that organization may also be obtained to help provide medical assistance during the races. Arrangements to have members of a campus Emergency Medical Service available during the races should be made by the Sweepstakes Chairman, approximately six weeks before the preliminary races are scheduled to take place, with the assistance of the Sweepstakes Advisor.
