Nov 15: Rolls cancelled due to rain.

Nov 16: It was cold, but not enough to keep everyone inside. Seven orgs rolled, Spirit had a crash, and Fringe won Women’s Mini-Raceday.

Rolling Orgs (buggies): SDC (4: Psychosis, Addiction, Envy, Rage), Pioneers (1: Chaos), Fringe (4: Bristol, Banyan, Blizzard, Brazen), PhiKap (2: Svengali and Shadenfraude?), CIA (2: Mirage and Firebird), Spirit (2: Haraka and Kingpin?), PiKA (2: Knightfall and ?)
Not Rolling: SAE tried to come out, but were missing their driver.

They got through the roll order almost five times. (Fringe got six rolls because many orgs scratched around 8:45.)

During Spirit‘s third roll, the first buggy crashed into the curb after the Chute flag. The buggy went wide after first flag (coming close to the Monument) and over-corrected left to the Chute flag. The buggy scraped the curb about 3 parking meters past the flagger. The driver was fine. The buggy’s outer wheel came off.
(It was the buggy with front painted with red and stars and back painted white. The other buggy was painted with the Superman cape, and continued through three Stop Flags.)

Fringe won Women’s Mini-Raceday. SDC and CIA were the only other orgs getting timed. Andrew couldn’t convince Pioneer’s Chair hvincent to go for a Hill 2-3-4-5 Iron Women round for Pioneers.

Fringe’s Bristol was taking a much saner line this week, coming within a few feet of the outer haybales, instead of the panic-inducing few inches. The other buggies were also taking a tighter turn, and Brazen had a slight fish-tail each time.

Pioneers had one of the smoothest lines in the Chute. Top of Hill was also praising their efficiency.

CIA‘s Mirage and Firebird both dropped pushbars (and brought them up correctly at the end of the Chute).

PhiKap was rolling very slowly on the first round. The second buggy was going noticeably slower, and the second one was 20 feet behind through the Chute turn. Both buggies slowed to a stop mid-way up the Chute as if lining up for a second race.

SDC mounted the Flip video on Envy’s outer side facing forward.

In more proof that you don’t recognize something until it is absent, Melissa must have had the smoothest Chute turn among the PiKA drivers. The driver in Knightfall was making larger corrections than most other drivers.

Tiny white specks were seen late in the morning, but the snow waited until about 10 am to start accumulating.
