As we start a new year of rolls with a new sweepstakes committee, I realized that we computed some stats on the number of rolls in the fall of last year, but forgot to follow up on that in the spring. The idea with these stats is just to give sweepstakes and the orgs some feedback on how well their partnership is doing at getting buggies around the course.
So here is the summary for the 2009 buggy season:
Stat | Fall 08 | Spring 09 |
Days of rolls | 6 | 7 |
Days cancelled | 4 | 6 |
Total Rolls | 355 | 490 |
Rolls per scheduled hour | 30.6 | 33.4 |
Orgs / Buggies participating | 12 / 32 | 13 / 37 |
Other factoids:
- Most active teams : Fringe (73 rolls), SDC (69)
- Least active teams: SAE (8), Pioneers (16)
- Most active buggy-driver combos: Michelle in Malice (23) and Catherine in Zeus (22)
Are there other stats that would be useful or interesting for the Buggy Alumni Association to collect or calculate?

How many times a buggy and/or driver crashed during rolls. Carnage!

The factoids are about the spring rolls tallies only. If I remember correctly, the black tally marks were from the fall and the red were for the spring right? There are 11 red ones in that picture a week before truck. that sounds about right for 16 total.

oh, in that case you are right on the dot. carry on!

Posting this here as it’s the newest story right now.. Any chance we can/will get a rolls report? There was one day of rolls this past weekend, yes?
swiftsam says:
hot off the presses now. I think we’ll plan on posting the rolls reports regularly early on monday mornings
